New Sandbox installing Sales Ent even when I didn't want it

Hi,

Not sure if this is a recent 'on-purpose' change, but previously when building a Sandbox if I selected only Customer Service, that's what I'd get. Seems as of this week some time, when I select Customer Service the new/reset environment also gets Sales Ent??? Interestingly, if I select Sales Ent only I don't appear to get Customer Service?

All very odd! Maybe it's supposed to do that now?

Thanks.

Yes, they are constantly changing the solutions that come with the various licensed packages. That solution probably just supports some functionality that got introduced with Wave 1 '22

Indeed. Does that introduce a risk though when developing a solution targeted at Customer Service users only? Could accidently cause some kind of dependency on the Sales Ent stuff if it's being included by default. Just because I'm licensed doesn't mean the end-user is.

No. almost all the entities are already there anyway in the CDM. There has never been such a thing as a clean line between Service/Sales/Marketing. The fact that the naming of solutions shows the gray areas is not surprising nor is it in and of itself risky. Could MSFT accidentally push out a bad dependency? Sure, but it is really incredibly unlikely.
