Docusign - 502 BadGateway

Hey all!

We got Power Automate working with Docusign and Microsoft Forms a few months ago.  Everything was going fine, until about a week or so, all of a sudden our Docusign portion would fail with a "BadGateway 502" error.  We've checked permissions, reestablished connections, rebuilt the form, rebuild the flow, and still got this issue.

The basic flow goes like this:

User fills out Microsoft Form

Flow grabs this information and puts it into an Approval

HR gets Approval and approves

All information goes to Docusign and into a Template (This is where I get the 502 BadGateway error)

Once sent, an email is sent to a special email account, where a ticket is created

A Sharepoint list entry is made, so IT has a record as well just in case.

Anyone have any thoughts on what the potential issue could be?  thanks in advance!

How were you able to populate the DocuSign template? I have my MS Forms data being pulled into the flow, but it won't backfill the document template.

    Hello @tbeehler ,

With the information you have provided here, we can only ascertain so much information before we start diving into telemetry. With that being the case, I would like to provide a few common causes for 502 errors reported by some of our users:

    • Transient issues
    • Column formatting - Check your column settings and the column data you are trying to pass through to it.
    • There could be a column formatted differently from the data type you are trying to pass in, such as multiple records being passed to a column that does not support them.
    • Your flow has hit limits - Verify that your flow is not crossing the Limits and configurations, especially those for duration 30 day run duration.
    • Wrong/expired user credentials - The credentials being used for the step in question may have wrong or expired credentials, verify in the Data > Connections menu that the connection is still active, and also insure it has the required permissions at the document library level

Another suggestion would be that based on the limited details around the troubleshooting with Docusign, you might want to contact them as well to identify if there are potential issues on their end.

In order to delve further into this, it may not hurt to create ticket with Microsoft Customer Support and here is a link for you to do so: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/get-help-support

    Regards,

    Kristie
