Flow problem

Good morning, I am new to PA. I started building a flow this morning using Browser Automation and didn't get far. There was an error on the second step.

1/ Launch New Chrome (does this fine)

2/ Press button on web page (Error: Button with selector 'div[ld="mount_0_0_yv"] > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > span > span[Text="Sell Something"]' not found.)

I went through the process of selecting the UI element with ctrl + left mouse click properly (setting up the step) , so I don't know why this is occurring.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Use click the link on web page

Or click link on window and try once

    Hope this helps

Tried "click the link on web page" and I get exactly the same the same results.

Cant find "click link on window" in the list of actions

Why is this so hard? I do exactly as Power Automate suggests and it fails!

    Hi, AussieLand

Its may possible reason like than -

    1) you have first launch chrome , its may be element of on this website not appear properly

for that in launch you need to select wait for page load in advance option of launch chrome

    2) another reason may be you have select id ( 'div[ld="mount_0_0_yv"] ) in you attribute , you can

try to select another alternative attribute which not change (id is change every time its not fix attribute)

( if you got your solution you can mark as solution and give thumbs (like) or kudos)

    thanks & regards

    Hi @AussieLand

Did you validate your selector ?

see whether it is indicating same UI Element or not again ?

    Thanks & Regards,

You may need to modify the selector of the button you're trying to press. It might be that it changes with each session. See this for reference on how to modify selectors: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/build-custom-selectors

I'm sorry I don't know how to validate the selector. I can't even find the selector?

I decided to use the record feature of PAD which went through without a hitch, but sadly when I run it, all I get is the webpage (which was set to open in the flow) opening and then nothing happens.

    Error is: Element with selector > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > div > span > Something"l' not found.

Have you checked the links I posted in my reply? They explain about selectors and how to modify them.

Thanks for your help. I'll get back to you tomorrow and let you know how I went!

    Have a wonderful day!
