Unexpected Error in Daily Flow - Need Assistance

I hope you can help me with an issue I encountered yesterday with one of my flows in production. This flow typically handles over 30 requests daily, and everything has been running smoothly until now

As you can see in the screenshot above, I encountered an unexpected error. However, when I resubmitted the flow, it ran without any issues.

I'm puzzled by this occurrence and would appreciate any insights or guidance on what could have gone wrong initially.

Key details about my setup:

  • Flow is in production and has been working consistently.
  • Daily request volume is approximately 30 or more.
  • No recent changes were made to the flow or associated connectors.
  • I haven't encountered this error before.

I'm looking for suggestions on how to diagnose the problem, prevent its recurrence, and any best practices for troubleshooting these types of issues. Your expertise is highly valued.

    Hi @Bambula,

Have you also considered looking in the audit report of the environment? This feature is located in the Power Platform admin centre.

This does require the setup of the Dataverse auditing feature though:

    Hi @Expiscornovus ,

I appreciate your quick response and the specific information about the error.

I've checked the security roles for this user, and all the roles seem to be correctly configured. It's also worth noting that this flow has been consistently processing over 30 requests daily without any issues until this error occurred. This leads me to believe that there might have been an unintentional change made by Microsoft on their end.

If you have any further suggestions or insights on how to resolve this issue or if anyone else has encountered a similar problem, I'd greatly appreciate the assistance.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi @Bambula,

Compared to other errors this one is actually pretty specific. 😁

The error mentions that user with id eb80e416-d8b9-ed11-83ff-000d3aaac385 is missing the prvReadmsdyn_flow_bsicapprovelmodel privilege in your Power Platform environment.

I would suggest to have a look which user this is and check or keep an eye on its security roles (to see if they are changing?).
