Calendar for Model Driven App

Is it possible to display and use a calendar, like an outlook calendar (with similar functionality), in Model-Driven apps? I need a solution that can ideally work with CDS/entities and with sharepoint list. Also, if the calendar can be displayed in sharepoint that would solve a lot of problems. I have been considering FullCalendar but I will need the completed app before I can learn the code!

I would appreciate any suggestions...

Thanks!

    Hi @criley ,

Do you want to display a Calendar (Like Outlook Calendar) in a Model-Driven app?

If you want to display a Calendar (Like Outlook Calendar) in a Model-Driven app, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

If you would like this feature to be added, please consider submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

As an alternative solution, I think the FullCalendar.io jQuery could achieve your needs in SharePoint. Please check and see if the following blog would help in your scenario:

    @v-xida-msft, I appreciate it!

That's what I was afraid of, bummer...

I was digging through the advanced settings (Customizations> Customize the System> Entities) and was able to find a "calendar control" for the particular entity i am needing to display as a calendar.

After adding the control to the entity, saving, and publishing it, a new drop-down called "Show As" is available in the MDA ribbon(?) next to "Create View." I can select the "CC_Calendar_Name and it displays a calendar view of the entity...

    Please find the attached images

A step in the right direction...

Now, is there any way to adjust/modify any of the "settings" for the calendar? Set default view to "Month", change the size, etc...

    Hi @criley ,

Do you want to modify the settings of the Calendar control in your Model-Driven app?

Based on the needs that you mentioned, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs. Currently, we could only configure some simple properties for the Calendar control within a Model-Driven app:

If you want to set the Default View of the Calendar control, change the Calendar control size, .... I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs currently.

Please refer to the following article for more details:

    Thank you for your help...

So, If I understand correctly, other than the limited capabilities of the Calendar Control for a specific entity, there is NO other way to use/view/work with a calendar in an MDA without embedding a canvas app or developing a custom component?

My apologies if I am missing something!
