How to create a Power Automate to send an email when a document is moved to a sub folder

In our department we are using the FORMS feature in SharePoint to collect documents uploaded from various locations. These documents are uploaded into a main folder and within that main folder we have multiple subfolders. I need a Power Automate to trigger an email to different staff when a document is moved from the main folder to a subfolder. We have multiple subfolders and different staff that need to be emailed on different subfolders. Please advise how to create this flow. I managed to get help on creating a flow, but it is triggering when any document is moved and not working on the designated folders and selected staff. Please see for more info: How to create a Power Automate to send an email with a document is moved to a sub folder - Microsoft Q&A Please help! 😊

Use trigger “When a file is created or modified properties only” on the document library don’t specify a folder.
Add a Condition: continue only when the file has left the main folder, e.g. @not(startsWith(triggerBody()['{Path}'], 'Shared Documents/Main/')).
After the condition, add a Switch on Folder path or {Path} and create one case per subfolder path Finance, HR, etc., each case containing a Send email V2 action to the right staff.
Leave the Default case empty so nothing happens for folders you don’t care about.

Hi Riyaz riz11, Thank you for your reply. That is what I was advised to do on the other Microsoft forum however this trigger set up is still sending the trigger even when the document is moved out of the main folder to any subfolder.

There is no supported trigger to detect when a file is moved. As an alternative, you can use a recurrence-based flow and track the file’s last known path in a column.
