How to create multiple copies of a task when a new task is created in planner using flow

Hello All,

I am new to MS Flow and would really appreciate your help

What I want to do?

When a new task is created say in plan 1, it should automatically spawn the same task in plan 2,3 & 4 with different people assigned to these tasks.

What i have done till now.

I tried to build the first branch that is when a task is created it would spawn that task to another plan- but for some reason the flow runs but does not actually work.

Please see the attached screenshots:-

Thank you for your help 🙂

    Hi @Deimos_21 ,

Because you are not assigning a bucket ID , Task should be created outside of the bucket.
Access planner and change the "Group by bucket" option to "Group by Assigned To," You should see your tasks.

    Hi @Deimos_21 ,

As described by @DeepakS , if the bucket id is not configured, the newly created task may not be displayed on the board.

Please try to see if you can see the newly created task according to the method provided by him.

In addition to creating multiple tasks, you can achieve this by adding multiple parallel branches.

    Hi @Deimos_21

If you are trying to send an email and have an only User name, you can t use it in Create Tasks Assigned User Ids field.
But you can use Office 365 User action called "Search for Users," and search the user by name and output of this action will give you the user email address that you can use Create Tasks Assigned User Ids field.
NOTE: if you have multiple users with the same name, "Search for Users" action will returns all, so you should be careful when you use this :).
