Hi All,

I have request from user, to send an email after 24hr from the date field.

I have date field called: Training End Date. I need to send out an email after 24hr of the Training End Date.

For example if the Training Ended at 8-01-2021, the email will need to send out at 8-02-2021.

Thanks

    Hi @abeyenen7 ,

You can use addDays(), just swap out the hardcoded date with your date value.

    addDays('8-01-2021',1)

You can use formatdatetime() to reformat to MM-dd-yyyy

    E.g.

    formatdatetime(addDays('8-01-2021',1),'MM-dd-yyyy')

    Hi @abeyenen7 ,

Theres a few options depending on your flow.

    1. If you can trigger the flow at the end of the training session, you can use the Delay Until action and pass in the expression.

    2) If not, you can create a scheduled flow to run daily and go through a list of completed training sessions the day prior and send the email out.  If you are using SharePoint or Excel, you can use oDATA filters.  Example below, note the -1 to subtract days.

    TrainingEndDate eq 'formatdatetime(addDays('8-01-2021',-1),'MM-dd-yyyy')'

    TrainingEndDate eq 'formatdatetime(addDays('8-01-2021',-1),'MM-dd-yyyy')'

I like the second option, but we still hard coding the date, is it possible to pass the date field it self?

    TrainingEndDate eq 'formatdatetime(addDays('TrainingEndDate',-1),'MM-dd-yyyy')'

Cuz the data can change based on the Training End dates.

Some training date can end the on 09-01-2021,

    Hi @abeyenen7 ,

Yes, you should be passing the Training End Date dynamically as mentioned in my last post.  I dont know anything about your flow or applications so have picked a specific date you have specfied as an example.
