    Hi @Anonymous,

Forms are used to operate directly on a datasource (e.g. Excel, SP, SQL, Dataverse...), not on an in-memory collection. Collections are used to temporarily store/adjust information in memory, which disappears after the user closes the session - unless it is patched to a data source. Although you can write the name of your collection in the datasource property and add custom cards, those cards are missing the Update property which makes saving the data not possible.

What I would recommend is manually creating your 'form' - not via the Edit Form control but with separate input & display controls (labels, text inputs...) and saving it to the collection via a button with a Collect/Patch function. Alternatively, you could link the Edit Form to an actual datasource.

If this solves your question, would you be so kind as to accept it as a solution & give it a thumbs up.

    Thanks!

    hi @LaurensM ,

Thanks for your response, I am using display form instead of edit form, I am able to get data to custom data card now, without adding any controls to custom data card I tried , so for that reason I am not able to see data

    Hi @Anonymous,

    Thank you for the clarification.

My advice for the display form would remain the same - stick to your basic controls (labels, textinputs...) and build the UI you want manually. The advantages of Forms is the ease of use (instantly display/edit fields by just selecting your datasource columns), built-in responsiveness and validation - just to name a few. These are lost when trying to 'force' the Form control to do something that it is not intended for e.g. using a collection instead of an actual data source.

That being said, you could (1) add custom cards to your display form, (2) add a label in the custom card with the Text property Parent.DisplayName to display the column name and (3) add a label in the custom card with the Text property ThisItem.FieldName - change FieldName to the correct Column name you want to display. (Make sure the Datasource, Item and DisplayName properties of the Form are filled in)

If this solves your question, would you be so kind as to accept it as a solution & give it a thumbs up.

    Thanks!
