Updating PowerApps when SharePoint list (data source) name changes

Hi All,
I completed an update recently which caused the name of my SharePoint List to change.  I customize this SharePoint List in PowerApps. I removed my SharePoint List (data source) from PowerApps and re-added.  I went in and updated the properties of all of the data cards that needed the list name changed in the formula. I do not see any more errors in PowerApps.  However, I cannot edit my list.  When I click on a newly created item (I can create new items), it pulls up an aged entry not associated with the new item just created.

Details of my PowerApp below related to Edits:

 SharePoint Integration:
OnEdit - EditForm(SharePointForm1)

SharePointForm1:
DefaultMode: FormMode.Edit

Item -
If(IsBlank(SharePointIntegration.Selected),First([@'name of SP List']),SharePointIntegration.Selected)

All looks correct. I think the issue may lie in the need to update the internal name in PowerApps, as I believe I have only updated the display name (from research I have done).  I am not sure how to update the internal name.  Can you help? I thought this would be a quick, easy update as the update to a SharePoint List was common.  Unfortunately, it has caused unresolved issues, and I must have this list functional by Monday. Thank you in advance for your help!

There is a big difference between changing the Label of the List and actually changing the name. Changing the name requires you to create a whole new share point list as you cannot change its actual name

So did you create a new list, or did you simply change the Label? or what exactly did you do?

If its a new list and the old one still exists then it makes sense.
If not, then I would ask, is the data it is showing (that is incorrect) always the actual FIRST row in the sharepoint list or does it change depending on what you select, but its still wrong?

@Michael E. Gernaey, to my knowledge, just the label was updated. I am not 100% as it has been a long time since the list was updated. Can you provide a solution to a label change and a new list change to ensure I can get the issue resolved? When I open PowerApps, the data showing when editing the app is what is populating when I try to edit an item in my SP list if that makes sense. It is the same data each time I try to edit different entries.  The edit function is stuck somehow.

I am getting an error in the App Checker that refers to the old list name in SharePointIntegration.SelectedHidden. I am not sure what this means.

I will add something here as I have needed to do exactly this in the past. There is a complex solution involving drilling into the actual app file code, but an easier way is to use the process in this blog of mine to
    1. Copy the Form temporarily onto a blank Canvas App
    2. Put the SharePoint Form Settings back to the standard SharePoint App and delete the Integrated app
    3. Re-create the integrated app and then follow the blog process of pasting the Form back from the temporary canvas app.

Thank you, @WarrenBelz. I am a bit nervous, as I am not familiar with the process, but I will certainly use the solution you have provided and let you know.  Thank you so much.

@WarrenBelz, I have read through your blog post. Thank you again. I am unfamiliar with some of the steps. Do you know of any videos that will help me to visualize the process?

It is a lot easier than the other option (I cannot find it presently, but involves extracting and editing the code of the msapp file).

Basically what you are doing is copying (ctrl-c ctrl-v) the Form from the current SharePoint Integrated app in Design mode (do this first to make sure it works) into a blank canvas screen (it is also good to save it, but ignore the errors), then going into SharePoint Form Settings and deleting the app

After this, go into the normal process of creating a new integrated form, then delete it and paste your saved form from the temporary canvas app back in. I do this regularly to easily create Integrated apps from Forms I have created on the same List in a Canvas app - saves doing the Form twice.

@WarrenBelz I see. Could I copy it by renaming the app like in this video: https://youtu.be/0TA3I7ZIYb0?si=dgcmlbgvSpdVlDX_

Also, once I copy it into another canvas app, and place the SP form back to default, I access the app directly going forward, and do not use the customization feature from SP correct? That will resolve some of the communication bugs between SP and PowerApps too that happen on occasion?

I did not get a notification on your response -only saw it now. To your question - no - the whole idea is to create a new integrated app by temporarily copying the present one that does not publish properly onto a Canvas App (best place to store it without losing all your work), then copy it back to the newly generated Integrated app.
Also that video is not relevent - it simply shows you how to duplicate a canvas app.

I have the exact same issue.  I only changed the name of the list.  I did not create a new list.  Updated all items in the form that referenced the old list name. Now no matter what item I try to open, only the 1st item in the list opens.  Very interested in finding a solution.  I am a business resources, not an IT resource, so looking for the ' PowerApps for Dummy' version of how to fix this.  A developer created the integrated forms for me and passed them to me to maintain.
