Create a dataverse record based in a CSV file attached to an email

Hi,

In a mailbox, a legacy system sends an email with a CSV file attached.
The CSV contains a single row with information for a new user (Name, LastName, Birthday, etc.)
I need to automatically convert that CSV into a row in a Dataverse table.
What would be the logical steps to do this?

I am not so familiar to manage files in Power Automate.

Thanks in advance

You can trigger your flow with "When a new email arrives (V3)" trigger to Save email attachments to SharePoint  (or OneDrive) with Power Automate.

    https://rishonapowerplatform.com/2022/12/05/save-email-attachments-to-sharepoint-with-power-automate

Then, parse the CSV and add each row into Dataverse.

You may skip saving the .csv file in SharePoint if you can directly get the .csv content from the email attachment.

    Hi,

    I made this example:

    https://youtu.be/sXdeg_6Lr3o

And for a selected CSV file it works fine.

But, when I change the trigger to "When new mail arrives V3" and download the CSV to OneDrive folder, the process fails. And it fails because (I do not know why) the format of the CSV downloaded changed to nonsense data like "QWNjaW9uLElERW1wbGVhZG8sTm9tYnJlLFByaW1lciBhcGVsbGlkbyxTZWd1bmRvIGFwZWxsaWRvLEZlY2hhLERlcGFydGFtZW50byxJRE1hbmFnZXIsQ29kQmFqY".

The weird case, is that I make a flow with the only step to download the incoming email (Save email attachments to SharePoint with Power Automate – Rishona Elijah (rishonapowerplatform.com), the CSV download is fine, do not loose the data. I do not understand why it happens... Any idea about it?

    Thanks in advance.

I've checked this video and saving the email attachment to OneDrive should be the same.

Can you show the screenshot of the steps where you save the file and read the file content?

I changed the process to read a folder instead the incoming mail.

    Thanks for your help!
