Hi all,
I have a Grade field on the Child form with the data type as the whole number between 0 and 12. The user will enter the number when creating a new child record. I'm looking for the option to increase the Grade number by 1 as of September each year. What would be the option to achieve it?

Is this Canvas App, Model Driven, using Flows (as per your tag), etc ?
Also, is the User entering the same field or filling the form then the number should be automated as per Month. So do you want to count the number of September month under all child records for the parent so you can increase the count of the field? We can have validation of setting max 12 records if you want.

It is implemented on Model Driven App.
First, the User will enter the Grade field (e.g. 10) on the Child form. Starting September 1st for the next year, the Grade will automatically increase by 1 for all child records. I currently set 12 as the max value of the Grade field.
You can implement any item as follows:
1. Write an Action and call it using Flow scheduled timely(weekly, monthly).
2. Create Azure Function to bulk update data (if you have Azure subscription)
3. You can also use Flow to update data provided the data is not too large.
4. You could create an API and call it using Flow.
Check what suites you best. 🙂
