approvals on mobile app

I have a cloud flow that uses the Start & Wait for Approval with Text action. The approval request comes correctly to me via both email and notification alert to the mobile app. The request shows currently in the Approvals section of the app. But I am never able to Approve via the app -- I consistently get an error message akin to "can't complete now - try later." I can use the email to approve, and then (after a refresh) the approval is removed from the Pending approvals list in the app.

i am using version 3.0.891 of the mobile app for iOS. Everything else about this flow is working correctly/as expected. This is my first flow with wait-for-approval, so user error is likely. Thanks for ideas.

Update: i can approve an “Approval without text” on the mobile app. i can not Approve a bare-bones “Approval with text” flow on mobile, but i can approve it in the make.powerautomate approvals tab.

Can you explain what you mean by an “Approval without text” on the mobile app" and "Approve a bare-bones “Approval with text”"? With approvals, you have the description and the options to reply with. Is the text you are referring to the comments? And on mobile, are you referring to responding through the Teams app, Outlook app, Approvals app or the Power Automate app? If it is Outlook and you are using an iOS device, responding via e-mail is not supported. I am not sure if this applies to Android as well.

Thanks, @David_MA and apologies for my shorthand.

To test further, I built two simple test flows, with just a trigger and one action. One used the Start and Wait For Approval action, the other used Start and Wait For Approval With Text action. With the latter, you can include suggestedText as a parameter, which the approver can approve with or without modifications. (When I refer to 'the text' that's the value I mean -- not any comments added by the Approver.)

The mobile platform I tested was the Power Automate app on iOS. For both test flows, the request for Approval appears on the Approval section of that app. The flow using Wait for Approval (without text) can be approved successfully. The flow using Wait for Approval With Text offers the approve/disapprove buttons, but on submit returns the error message.

In all cases -- my original flow, plus the two test flows -- I can Approve successfully via Outlook email running on laptop or desktop. And I can Approve successfully via the Approvals tab in make.powerautomate, any browser, any platform. I have not tested Teams app on any platform.
