Below is an image of the new format for conditions in Flow. Look at the no code control we have here with real conditional logic. What an improvement and one I am sure the community and users will embrace overall. Well done to the Flow Team, one of several great improvements I am seeing on my Twitter time line just now.

If you are following a blog post/tutorial or forum post that has used an expression where standard logic just wouldn't do at that time, then here is what you will now need to do from now on.

As an example, using a blog post like Call Office 365 Service Communications API and Return New Service Health Notices – Part 3. This defines a condition with using the old format.

So what used to be:

Has now become:

I hope this can be helpful to some in the future (and the present).

So now if I want to edit a condition in advanced mode I can no longer do that? What a bummer.

    Hi @Anonymous

Although the words "Edit in Avanced mode" no longer exist you can still replicate the same way of creating conditions using an expression. In fact, you can do that multiple times and make them AND/OR so the functionality to do that is generally much improved now.

This is a positive enhancement, so please just remember the method of implementing this above and you will have no issue at all.

    Thanks, Alan

This has just caught me out!! I'm right in the middle of some major work and this is going to cause me such grief! The expressions are just completely new to me and I dont know how to use them properly. I'm now stuck at having to guess what the expression should be to check for an empty property in a SharePoint field!! Just great....

    Hi @Anonymous

This post is meant as a solution. It provides a solution to using expressions with the new format of conditions called "Condition builder".

You just explicitly set your expression "equal to" true. That's it!

If you are having issues with your Flow, can I suggest posting a new thread at:

I am sure someone will assist if you experience an issue.

    Thanks, Alan
