Leave request balance update sending 2 emails

Hello,

I have implemented a Leave request with 2 list in sharepoint; one holds employee info and balances and the other one the leave request itself.

The list holding the employee balances gets updated once the approver approves.

my question is:

If a employee request one of the leave types (Vacation, Rollover, sick or others) how do I update the balance in only that particular leave.

Right now if I request Rollover the employee get 2 emails 1 from rollover 1 for vacation.

Before sending the first mail-in approval, you should calculate rollover days, if rollover days is zero or less than zero then send an approval mail or else send a rollover mail
