    1. Yes, they're the same product. Power Virtual Agents was rebranded to Microsoft Copilot Studio. If you see PVA referenced anywhere, it's the old name for the same tool.

    2. Copilot Studio is a web-based product, there's nothing to install. You access it at https://copilotstudio.microsoft.com. For licensing, there are a few paths:
    - If your organization has Microsoft 365, you may already have access to a basic version via the Teams plan
    - For full features, you need a Copilot Studio license (paid per-tenant with Copilot Credits)
    - You can start a free trial at copilotstudio.microsoft.com to explore before committing

For using agents in Power Automate workflows, you connect them via the Copilot Studio connector or by calling an agent flow. No separate subscription is needed for that integration if you already have a Power Automate license, though the agent itself still needs a Copilot Studio license to run.

Power Virtual Agents (PVA) and Copilot Studio are not two separate products you need to license independently. PVA was the earlier product/experience; today, Copilot Studio is the broader current platform for building agents.

Yes, a Copilot Studio agent can be used from Power Automate, but check the agent's harness:
Standard harness: Power Automate can use the Microsoft Copilot Studio connector → Execute Agent and wait.
GitHub Copilot harness: It cannot currently be called from a Power Automate cloud flow through that connector; instead, use an agent node in a Copilot Studio workflow.

PVA → Copilot Studio is essentially the product evolution; Copilot Studio agents can participate in Power Automate workflows; and for serious enterprise use, make sure your organization has both maker access and sufficient Copilot Credit capacity.

    Hi @SS-31071226-0,

Power Virtual Agents (PVA) is now Microsoft Copilot Studio, so you don't need to install a separate Power Virtual Agents product. Copilot Studio is the current platform for creating and managing agents.

Yes, you can also integrate Copilot Studio agents with your automation. For example, agent flows can be created in Copilot Studio or Power Automate and added to an agent as a tool to perform actions or retrieve data.

Regarding licensing, it depends on your scenario. You can start with a Copilot Studio trial for building and testing, but the trial doesn't allow you to publish the agent. For production usage, Microsoft provides standalone Copilot Studio options including prepaid Copilot Credits and pay-as-you-go. Microsoft 365 Copilot also includes Copilot Studio capabilities for certain internal agent scenarios.

You can check the current licensing options here:
