Hi PA Community,
I've successfully built a straightforward V2 email flow which is basically set-up to offer a courtesy email acknowledgement to any sender/customer who contacts one of my shared O365 mailboxes. The V2 flow works great as the email acknowledgment is sent basically saying, "we've got your email, it's arrived safely, we're looking at it and we'll be in touch" - works for both external customers and also internal sales colleagues too.
My challenge seems to be when a customer sends in an email contact, the V2 flow email acknowledgement replies back to the FROM email address however because the customer has a similar auto-response set-up my mailbox gets another email item and it results in a continuous loop. So much so my mailbox had c.4,000 email items this morning because of the looping activity.
I'm trying to read through help sections and previous posts to see if there any guidance on how to configure/prevent but I'm fairly new to PA and struggling to suss out.
I'd be very grateful for any advice please.
Thanks,
Brian
Yes I mean a true DL. The only ugly "feature" is that your client will send to info@yourdomain.com and get reply from noreply@yourdomain.com. Is this acceptable?
Hi Victor,
Thanks for replying so quickly
Do you mean a true DL and not a contact group list?
Sorry to ask/sound stupid - so the journey would be
1> Customer emails my enquiry helpdesk O365 mailbox
2> My mailbox receives the email
3> PA/Outlook/V2 Flow sends a courtesy response email back to the sender (which works fine)
4> Once the courtesy response email is sent to the customer I don't want any auto-rules or even PA flows they have start bouncing back their courtesy email auto response which then starts the endless looping
So I sort of understanding the 'send as' email address needs to be a no-reply@domain address so I guess I need to create that (with my tech team) and it's not just a contact group list type list.
Thanks,
Brian
Create a distribution list noreply@yourdomain.com with NO members.
Send as this DL. Any email to noreply@yourdomain.com will just disappear.
