Using lookup column in an app made for creating document sets

Posted on by 48

Hi everyone,

We're using document sets here in our company, and we'd like to use a form in Powerapps which would replace the normal '+new'-form in a document library.

We are using Power Automate Flow and Power apps for this.

First, we're making an Power Automate flow, we're using 'initiate variable' and then try to link them to the document library. We also use the document set ID.

After that, we're making a Powerapp. We customize the form in SharePoint using Powerapps, which results in using this code on the 'On Save'-element on 'SharePointintegration':

So far so good, we thought :). Now, when using the SharePoint-form, we always get an error. See below:

Now, the error is in Dutch, but it says the following: The Method 'Run' has an invalid value for parameter "InitiateVariable2_value1".

That field, which is 'Leverancier' in this case, is a lookupfield to another SharePoint list. Would that be the problem here? Any idea on how to solve this? We're not really sure if we're doing something wrong in our flow or in our app.

Thanks for the help!
