Power Automate - Using Flows

How to restore flow for personal account and free version of Power Automate

Posted on by 14
I'm using the free version of Power Automate Desktop with a personal account. I have a question about restoring flows.

・I created several flows, and the last time I successfully created and executed a flow was on October 7, 2024. The build version at that time was "2409."
・On October 12, I encountered an error that prevented me from opening my Power Automate flows.
  - Error details: When I tried to open or edit the flow in Power Automate Desktop, I couldn’t access it due to an error.
  - Error message: "An error related to OneDrive has occurred."
  - Actions taken to resolve the error: I tried re-logging into OneDrive, re-logging into Office 365, adding an extension to Chrome, and troubleshooting. However, the error remained unresolved.
  - I also attempted to create a new flow, but I received an error related to OneDrive when trying to save it. The version remained "2409."
・ On October 28, I updated to version "2410," but all the previously saved flows disappeared from the app. However, the files still exist in "OneDrive\Apps\Graph."
  - I created a new flow, and a "Graph1" folder was created, where the new files were saved.
  - I also tried creating a new flow using a different personal account, which resulted in the creation of a "Graph" folder where the new files were saved.
  - This seems to indicate that I can create new flows in the new environment.
・ There was an update on November 12, so I upgraded to version "2411" on November 13, but the situation remains unchanged.
  - I attempted the instructions to "Fully restore a deleted desktop flow," but on the account login page, I received the error message: "The email or username entered does not exist. Please check that the email or username was entered correctly."
  - I also tried the "Restore a deleted flow with PowerShell" instructions, but I encountered the same login issue.

  - I believe the reason I couldn’t log in is that the account needs to be an organizational account.

Is it impossible to restore flows if I am using a free version with a personal account?
If anyone knows a way to restore flows with a personal account in the free version, I would greatly appreciate any advice.
Thank you very much.

    Dear Sayan,

Thank you very much for your response.
I tried to use the premium version’s free trial, but it was not available without an organizational account.
I believe it may be difficult to proceed with an individual account in this case, so I have decided to let it go.
Thank you for kindly providing the information.

    Hello,

You can request to get the Premium version for a limited time. After that you will be able to get back the flow.
