Resubmit Flow: what Trigger Name and run ID?

Hello,

I have a question regarding the Power Automate Management Tool included in Power Automate. I would like to use the function „Resubmit Flow“ to start a flow one time a month.
The problem is that I don‘t know how to find out the trigger name and the run ID of my desired flow.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!

Is there a reason why you don't simply use the "Recurrence" trigger?

If you really want to trigger it manually every month, you can also consider the "Manually trigger a flow" trigger.

The flow which is to be started MUST be started manually, which is why I am hoping for an automatic solution with Resubmit Flow.

    I would have imagined this:

So I want to trigger a manual flow automatically using another flow.

Again the question why you don't replace the manual trigger in the second flow with the Recurrence trigger?

This is the flow I want to start. Since this is the only way I can get the data on Power BI Desktop imported into Flow, I can't change the trigger on this flow.
Importing the data on Power Bi only works this way, because I can't upload the report to the web view of power Bi.
There are several reasons for this.

The easiest way to get a run ID is to open one run from the run history and check the URL.

    About the trigger name:

If you export the flow and open the file "definition.json" in a subfolder of the downloaded zip file you will find the trigger name next to the word "triggers".

You can get the Run ID from the URL if you open an existing run from the history:

    About the trigger name:

You can export the flow and within this zip file there is a file called "definition.json".

In this file next to "triggers" is the name of the trigger.

    Thank you, it worked.
Unfortunately, I didn't consider that if I just resubmit the flow, I'll get the same result each time for my actual dynamic data source.
would you know any other way i could automate my flow with another flow?

You could trigger a desktop flow from your Manual or scheduled cloud flow and that Desktop flow can run PowerBI and click on that Button.

I have already tried this. However, since Power Bi has a relatively long loading time, it does not work due to the delays between actions.
Thank you for your help. I will make a new request in the community, which is only about the topic of automation.
    Have a nice day. 🙂
