Select SPECIFIC users from a dropdown bar

Hello, I'm new to PowerApps and can't for the life of me find out how to do this...

I have a form for users to fill out a change request approval. This record will then be sent to a SharePoint list. I have a field named "Approver" of type person or group in this list. This field draws from my company's office 365 users. As of now, I'm able to (in my PowerApps app) search for anyone in the company and set them as the approver. However, this is not what I want. The goal is to have a drop down bar with 7 distinct users (to which I have the names of) to be the options the user can select.

If someone could help me out I would truly appreciate it! Thanks!

Yes, set up an Office 365 group for these approvers and use the Office 365 Groups connector to list the group members for your dropdown/combobox list

If you are using SharePoint list and it is person type Colum. Go this filed and change from "All Users" to particular SharePoint group which you want to use. If group is not there. Create one with the 7 person as member. That way only those 7 people will be shown there

Thank you for this! One more quick question. In PowerApps, the drop down field for the group isn't showing the possible approvers. I'm able to type in their names but that isn't quite what I'm looking for. I would like for the user to hit the dropdown button and then show all the approvers in that dropdown. Probably something simple...

This is what happens when clicking the dropdown arrow:

If you are using office365user connector. try this in item's property of ComboBox

So that dropdown is what I'm looking for. However, its giving me quite a bit of junk data (which doesn't include the 7 members of the SharePoint group).

If its possible to hard code their emails into an expression somehow, that could also work.

this only works with Office365User connector if you want SharePoint group in dropdown you can do it with the help of Power Automate. But, it's a long process and not worth it for small functionality like this.

One thing you can do is. Let's say your person type field's name is "Approvers". And there are already 7 records saved with 7 people which are in your SharePoint group. You can use

    Distinct(DataSource,Approvers)

This will go to your Approver field and give you unique values from your field. That will be your SharePoint group members

Tell me if this would work. So I went ahead and created a new list on my SharePoint site to store the approvers. I have one field called "Approver" of type person with 7 records already populated with needed users. Using the distinct function, I'm seeing the 7 records from the drop down, however, they're all blank. I tried Distinct(DataSource, Approver.DisplayName) but that didn't seem to work. Any idea?

I don't know what the problem could be. This works fine for me. I filter the gallery with this combobox and all
