Question concerning using RPA on an IBM legacy UI

Hey everyone,

For a customer we've received the following question, it doesn't look like an issue for me but I was asked to verify 🙂 Our customer is still using the IBM System I technology in their organisation. This system still work with the old greenish screens that you often can see in old 80's movies. They are looking to use RPA for automating certain processes.

The customer however doesn't feel comfortable with combining this old(er) technology with RPA flows designed in Power Automate because of the screens. The fear is somewhat that the RPA flows will not be able to read/understand the screens.

Does anybody have any experience and/or knowledge here that this might give an issue?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi @GHamers ,

Could you please share a screenshot of the configuration of the RPA flows?

Have you take a try with Microsoft flow to achieve the requirement?

    Best Regards,

    Alice

    Hey @v-alzhan-msft,

I can't share a screenshot, this specific project is in presales and nothing has been set up yet. 😕

We already have some experience in our team with standard Power Automate flows, but not with the RPA capabilities of it.

The customer wants to have reassurement that a RPA flow will work on older legacy systems before we can move on.

    Hi @GHamers ,

You could take a try to create the flow and please feel free to ask here if you have any question.
