I have a situation where a flow triggers office 365 when an item is created in a sharepoint list.
Now in the approval step of the flow I have added myself and a shared mailbox named O365Support as the approvers
So when an item is created a mail is sent to me and one in the shared mail box for approval.
The one Sent to me has the capability to approve the item directly from the mail as shown below.
However the one sent to the shared mail box has a link which redirects to the MS flow site for approval. Something like this
What I want is the provision to approve directly from mail for the shared mailbox like in first case instead of being redirected to some url for approving.
I have made the whole sharedmailbox as the owner of the flow. but still work just work for me
Hello,
Was wondering if any fix was found to this. Having the same problem of the approvals opening in another page instead of within the inbox for other users
I realise this is an old Thread, just wondering if this was ever solved as I'm having the exact same issue.
Basically, I can Approve/Reject a workflow in the body of my email using Outlook Desktop client. However, when a customer of mine tries (flow is sent to a shared mailbox without an O365 licence i.e. Can't login to the mailbox but uses it as delegated access) to Approve/Reject - it redirects to the default Web Browser and logs in automatically as the user as opposed to the Shared Mailbox. Therefore they don't see the approval.
Why are they seeing this
With this comes another problem. If i click on the approval link from the sahred mailbox mail, it will redirect to the flow page and we will need to log in using creds. Now since we cant login with share mailbox email id we need to login through our own email id. but when we do that it doesnt show any recieved approvals there. so we are not able to approve at all.
Is there a work around fopr the same
Hi @pushpanjay,
The symptom is confirmed from my side.
It seems it doesn't matter if the Shared Mailbox is the Flow owner , the Approvals sent to this Shared Mailbox will always redirect to the Approval page under Microsoft Flow.
And the Approval option within the Email seems to be only available for the Active Users Email Mailbox.
There is an idea submitted on this topic:
Change original owner of a flow
Please consider vote it up, or submit your own if that doesn't meet your requirements.

Michael
