Reminder E-mail Based on Approval Status and Date of Reponse?

I set up an approval flow in Power Automate for a list I have in SharePoint.  The flow kicks off at record creation and sends an e-mail to two individuals within our organization.  They review the record and either approve ("acknowledge") the record or disapprove ("flag for further discussion").

If they both approve the record, then the flow stops.

If one or both disapprove ("flag for further discussion"), then I want to set up a flow where they and the submitter will get a reminder email notification seven days after the record is disapproved to re-evaluate, and ideally, go into the record and change their approval field from 'No' to 'Yes'.  All records ultimately need to be approved in the list eventually, but reviewers have the opportunity to flag the record for discussions if they are unclear or disagree with something in the record.

All of the reminder tutorials I have found are based around a date in the list or the creation date.  I want to base this on the day that the approver responds to the workflow and their response to the workflow (only if they disapprove / "flag").

Any idea if either of this is possible?  I've tried a few things and keep hitting dead ends, but I'm relatively knew to this so perhaps there is some nuance I am missing.

Much appreciate any guidance.

Thank you!!

I suggest adding a column to store the date that the approval status column changes.  If the approval status column changes, update the new column with the current date.  You can use the SharePoint "has column changed" action to assist.

Then, use a Flow with a recurrence trigger that fires daily.  Use a filter query so that only the items that meet your criteria are returned.  Here is a link to a blog post that discusses how to create a filter query.

One note - watch out for an infinite loop when updating the item.

Thanks Scott.  You're a great guy for taking time out of your day to read my question and offer a solution.  I will review that blog post this evening and give this a whirl in the coming days.  Sounds like a practical roundabout solution to my issue.  Have a great day!
