Select output adding extra characters

Hi all,

New to SharePoint and Power Automate so maybe this is an easy fix but I can't find any posts regarding this issue. So I am trying to copy items from one SP List to another and when I use the "Select" action to get data out of an array to put into the column of a new list, I get all these extra characters. Please see below. I just want to know how I can prevent these characters from being added. Thanks!

Here is part of my flow. I can provide more info if needed.

It is because in the "Select" actions, you are leaving the column name blank on the left side.

You need to change the Select to Map to text mode

Try it with just using the single map box and value filled in.

Hi, are those 2 fields multichoice fields ? And you only want to select one of them before copying right ?

What copied to the second SharePoint list match the key / value configured in Select action.

The easiest way will be to use this expression in order to get the part you need

    split(##YourComposeOutput##, '"')[3]

You can also use Parse Json action in order to get the second value.

One of them is multichoice and I want to pull all of the choices that were chosen. I tried what the other user suggested and it's worked well enough for my needs. Thanks though!
