Getting e-mail address from Sharepoint list and use in intialize variable

Hi,

I have a flow that creates some tasks in Planner and assign it to different users (specifies e-mail).

The user's responsible is on another Sharepoint list specified in a column called "Responsible", which is a Person-type column.

Can I use flow to get the e-mail address from the person in the Sharepoint list and use it to assign this person in several tasks in Planner?

Hi @Anonymous,

You should be able to retrieve the Responsible/Email property of the list item.

Below is an example of that. In this example I am using a list called PlannerPeople. Via a get items action I am retrieving all the items.

In the initialize variable action I am using an expression to retrieve the first record (in this case Jane).

outputs('Get_items')?['body/value'][0]['Responsible/Email']

I tried this but received the following error message:

Can you share a screenshot of the setup of your Get Items action? I am also interested to see the raw output of that Get Items action of that failing flow run. Can you also share that?

I might have to use a filter like "Tjeneste eq Ansattes representant" to find the right row that show the correct "role" in the column "Tjeneste".
