Dynamic content Teams channel

Hello ,

is possible to use dynamic content for teams channels. I am using environment variables for SharePoint site.

I want to use the dynamic container so that when switching to another site automatically switches Teams channels. When I am importing to another environment so it automatically changes teams and sites and everything .

This is an unmanaged solution.

    Hi @Bambula

Yes, looks like it is possible. I did tested this with channel name but I got an error saying resource not found. When I passed the Id it did worked. Stored the Id of the channel under the environment variable. To find the Id do the following:

Open the team and click Get link to channel

Click copy and paste in a notepad

    https://teams.microsoft.com/l/channel/19%3a34f1c0d90f5248529a5058480cab2565%40thread.tacv2/TestChannel?groupId=06109e8e-ad9f-4e7f-a698-b680e87436bd&tenantId=04390bf4-79e4-4d3d-9f41-86c23a863373

Copy the channel id. See above highlighted in bold

    Replace the % with : and %40 with @

Finally will have something like this.

    19:34f1c0d90f5248529a5058480cab2565@thread.tacv2

Allocate the channel id to environment variable.

    Thanks

    Hi @Bambula

Ok thanks. So try adding a compose action step before the Post a message in a chat action step. Map the environment variable under the compose action step. Then map the output of the compose under the channel.

    Still doesn´t work for me...

the action runs into an error and says "forbidden"

ok update: i´ve deleted the action and added it again and it now works
