Hi, I am new and a little stuck, I have two SharePoint lists:

  1. List of Courses
  2. List of Course Nominations

I have created a canvas app that allows users to see upcoming courses in a gallery view. then the user selects the course from the list it takes them to a course details page. at bottom of this page is a button to submit a nomination.

This is where I get stuck, I don't know how to make it so that when the user is on the course details page and click the nomination button that it takes them a nomination from for but allows the form to know they are submitting for that particular course without having to find and select the course again from a dropdown lookup box.

On the last screen where it says course/activity I want it to already be populated with the course the user was just on.

Hope that makes sense

Any help or advice is appreciated

Hide the combobox in the card.  Make the Update property of the card to be Gallery1.Selected. Course/ActivityOld put a label in the card and make its text property Gallery1.Selected.Course/ActivityOld

You can replace Gallery1 with the actual name of your gallery and replace Course/ActivityOld with the actual name of the field you wish to reference that is common to both lists.
