Pulling a Multi-Select Field into a Add a New Row Action

I am creating a flow that is triggered by a new response to a Microsoft and then adds a new row into a dataverse table. I am having issues handling the Multi-Select field. I have created the following flow:

However whenever I test it I get a failure on the ‘Select’ action, with the following error message, “The 'from' property value in the 'select' action inputs is of type 'String'. The value must be an array.” The input to the select action is the multi-selec field from the Form response.

    @JHat1121 You need to parse the multi-choice selections. I cover how to do that in the tutorial linked below. Although I cover how to get the MS Form data into SP (not dataverse) you can use the concepts covered in the tutorial for your flow.

    In this Microsoft Power Automate tutorial, I’ll show you how to get your Microsoft Form responses into SharePoint. I’ll cover how to build a Microsoft form with conditional fields by using branching. You’ll learn how to format your multiple choice responses for a SharePoint multi-choice column as well as converting it to text. I’ll also show you how to take a text response and convert it to a number with a switch action and with an expression.
    After adding the response to SharePoint, we’ll send the user an email confirmation with all the details of their form submission.

    At the end of the video I’ll show you a few tips and tricks on working with a SharePoint list.

    @creativeopinion Thanks for the quick response the video you provided was great and it was easy to follow along. However when I get to the create item there is no “Switch to input entire array” option next to the Multi-Select field. The other issue I experience is that the outputs from the select option are not available as dynamic content. Have you experienced similar issues creating this type of flow?

    Consider marking the first comment as answer if that help.
    I try my best to explain how to use:
    For example I have a survey, which contains single choice and multiple choices (the fruit array) in the Survey.
    After get the response detail,
    1. Add Compose, use createArray()
        fx =  createArray(body('Get_response_details'))

    Output like:
    [
        {
            "responder": "user@domain.com",
            "submitDate": "6/12/2025 7:46:46 PM",
            "rfc891f59....": "Above average",
            "r623a176d....": "Not so responsive",
            "r5a358e69....": "5",
            "re8f47033....": "[\"Apple\",\"Peach\",\"Banana\"]"
        }
    ]
    2. Add Select.
       select each field from 'Get the response detail' on right side. left side you can customize the name.

    Select Output as below:
    I replace extra characters with empty string for d' value for demonstration purpose.

    feel free if you have any question.
