I have an email in my Microsoft 365 (not Gmail) inbox that has a csv file attachment. The email is from john@fakecompany.com. The subject of the email is Here's your file. The file is comma delimited and has a header row. I would like to process this file in Power Automate. For instance, I'd like to add up all the numbers in the fourth column of the CSV file.
I would have thought this would be easy, but apparently not. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
For anyone else who is trying to figure out how to process CSV files, here's how I did it. You can sign up for a free Cloudmersive account and use their connector. The hard part is passing the right file to Cloudmersive. You'll have to loop through the attachments and choose the csv file, which has contentType application/octet-stream . Then you'll have to pass the contentBytes to Cloudmersive:
After this point, your file will be in JSON, and you can do whatever you want with it.
