Hi All,

I have a Flow to create to take the place of one we use that was created in SP Designer. Has anyone written a Flow that you can manually push that will send out an information email?

When we have a document approved and we upload it to our SharePoint Site we push a workflow and based on what department the document falls under, stakeholders of that department receive an email letting them know there is a new document and it requires training.

I'm not sure what elements I would use to create this type of flow.

Any help is appreciated.

The easiest way to get started is with the "Complete a custom action for the selected item" template available from your document library when you select "Create a Flow".

You'll need to share this Flow with the users who will need to run the Flow (share on a read only basis). You can also share it with an Office group if that makes more sense.

Hi @ kmason,

How would you check what department the document falls under?

You could conside creating multiple folders in the sharepoint library, and ithe folderA represents departmentA,the folderB represents departmentB.

Then you could create a flow se below:
