Is anyone as of today, able to use the PDF viewer with this link:

https://www.adobe.com/support/products/enterprise/knowledgecenter/media/c4611_sample_explain.pdf?

I am using a PDF sample from Adobe and placing that string in the Document attribute of the PDFViewer and I get the "Could Not Open..." error.

From my understanding, this should work, right? this is a PDF that is public to everyone and nor permissions are set ion it. Confused as to why it does not work

HI @Jenkies , I hope you are not using this feature in any production app, because this is still experimental feature.
PDF viewer control (experimental) in Power Apps

Now coming to your issue, it is mentioned in above article that PDF should conform PDF32000 specification.
Now, how do we confirm that this PDF has PDF32000 specification. So, follow below steps to confirm the same:
Open the PDF file in a text editor, such as Notepad or a dedicated PDF viewer that allows viewing the raw PDF code.
Look for the line starting with %PDF. This line indicates the PDF version. Make sure it is either %PDF-1.7 or %PDF-1.8 for PDF32000.
So, I tried this for the mentioned PDF and this is what I found: %PDF-1.3, which means that this is not PDF32000 specification.

SO, using a pdf as you suggested does not work. I created a 3 versions of a PDF using Adobe Acrobat (versions 8, 9, and 10). Opening them in a text editor, I see the following:

Version 8
%PDF-1.7 %âãÏÓ 124 0 obj <</Linearized 1/L 32408/O 126/E 25493/N 1/T 32089/H [ 485 186]>> endobj
...

Version 9
%PDF-1.7 %âãÏÓ 124 0 obj <</Linearized 1/L 32470/O 126/E 25551/N 1/T 32151/H [ 486 186]>> endobj
...

Version 10
%PDF-1.7 %âãÏÓ 124 0 obj <</Linearized 1/L 32467/O 126/E 25551/N 1/T 32148/H [ 486 186]>> endobj

No matter what is on the PDF document, saving as 1.7 does not work. There are no other option beyond version 10, thus only 1.7 can be reached.

Hi @Jenkies , I don’t understand what are you trying to explain by your last reply. Does that means that by creating pdf with proper PDF32000 specifications and with proper https security architecture, you are still not able to show pdf in pdf viewer?

My response was specific to the this https://www.adobe.com/support/products/enterprise/knowledgecenter/media/c4611_sample_explain.pdf

I am trying explain the limitations which is mentioned in the reference article.

@ANB, that is correct. I have attached the proper PDF32000 specified file that shows %PDF-1.7.

It seems I got it to work. Hard to find a host that allows CORS. I ended up using Azure Blob storage and uploaded there. Major oversight of the PDFViewer. I mean it allows for viewing office documents with no issues, but a PDF in the same location cannot be. That is just stupid. Anyway, it doesn't matter if it is version 1.4, 1.7 or anything in between as long as CORS is allowed, it seems to work.
