I am unable to type anything into my datacardvalue box. Am I forgetting to do something? Please help guide me with this issue. I am connected to a SQL server database as well.

Thanks

    Hi,

    -Are you trying in play mode?

    -What is the default property of the datacard?

    -Is it locked?

    Thanks

    Yes, I've tried in play mode as well. The default property of data card is non existent I am unable find the default option for the datacard.

    Sorry I meant text imput not datacard. Datacards just hold controls, text imput is where you type in the data.

    I'm wanting to type a number into the datacardvalue box and submit it. It's not letting me do that.

    @Power5

    If the account number is read only in sql or automatically assigned, it may not be editable in PowerApps. If not, delete the card and add it back in the form and see if it works.

    Yeah it still won't let me add a new record. Does it have anything to do with my items property or something like that?

    @Power5

    Check the format property on the right hand column with the control selected.  Change it to number if it is text.

    @Power5

    Please start again by putting a new form on a screen.  In the upper right side of the screen, use the dropdown to select your Data source as your SQL table.  Then, set the Default mode to New on the upper right side of the screen.  The form should populate with your fields from the SQL table and all the controls will be empty.  If the Account Number field is not on the form, Select the Edit fields and add the fly out will show. Select Account number from the list  by ticking the checkbox next to it and Add at the bottom.  At this point, if the Account number (a number field) should be showing on the form.  Hit <F5> and see if you can put a number in it.
