Hi Champs,

I' am new to PBI and working on pbi reports and power automate,

We have req like to save a paginated report with csv extension to a Shared drive.

I did Installed on premise gateway on client VDI and created a file connection.

everything is working fine, creating a file in shared drive when I turn on VDI, when it turned off Create file flow is failing and throws error like check your parameters.

I don't think we have that much of feasibility to install it on server, is it possible to create a file without using a on-premise gateway?

please help I got stuck on this issue.

Thanks!

    Hi @PS21 ,

You can create files in cloud storages such as SharePoint/OneDrive for business/Google Drive without using data gateway.

    Hi v-jefferni,

Thanks for the quick reply, I got what your saying but the users needs to have the csv file in shared drive like \\Servername\folder\folder.

how to achieve this without using File System/create file?

    Hi @PS21 ,

It's not possible. Saving data into local machine requires a data gateway on-line.

    Hi @PS21 ,

Certainly, you can install a gateway in a server. Please refer to below doc:
