Can I get some help please with failing flow/powerapp runs and connections?

Hey guys,

So Microsoft sent out some service update or whatever on the 2nd. It broke a lot of flows and thus apps as well, it took them nearly 3 days to restore things, and another week for us to repair things. But a lot is still busted and I am having trouble with a critical app. The app is supposed to run a flow called "order line items", but it continually fails and gives errors. I have tried migrating the flow to current connectors and so forth, it still wouldn't run. I also tried adding a copy of the flow and the new flow to powerapp by deleting the old code in the field, then typing "copyof..." and it would not show the new version of the flow or the migrated one no matter what. The "orderlineitems" flow is also missing from the powerautomate left pane within the canvas editor and if I select "add flow" and again search for it, it cannot be found, nor can the new migrated connector:

1) Orderlineitems.Run failed: The method 'Run' has an invalid value for parameter 'Createanewrecord(deprecated)_Subtotal'

2) Orderlineitems.Run failed: The method 'Run' has an invalid value for parameter 'Createanewrecord(deprecated)_Name'

I have tried so many things and am at my wits end about what to do because this is causing a cascade failure since other flows depend on this one working. If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it. Microsoft has abandoned the case and is just leaving our business to die.

Here are my thoughts on your case,

(1) Trace were the error is coming from. Maybe recreate the flow to see where it is coming.
In your Shared Error, it is saying that there is an invalid parameter. The usual cause of this is that the data provided doesn't match the required data type of the parameter.

As mentioned in the error, the Work Order parameter is having an issue. Trace what value is being passed for this. I'm assuming that the Lead_gallery_1.Selected.'Work Order'.'WO Number' is the one providing this data. Trace if it's passing a blank value.

Hi cha_cha. Thanks for helping. I did a trace with the monitoring tool and when the error(s) pop up, this is what I see:

Edit: I'm seeing that the same problem is showing with many other functions. Does this have something to do with the "orderlineitems" flow not showing up in the left pane of the Canvas editor?:

Hello @zerou

Based on the error messages, it looks like your form in PowerApp is having tons of blank values. Though we can't correlate them directly it your actual error, it still might be the start of your investigation, to see why data is being passed blank.

On another note, let's look at PowerAutomate and see the history logs. See when the failed run first happened and what was missed when data was passed. You can check it on the PowerApps trigger box, similar to as shown below, open the OUTPUTS and see if all the values are passed, and look for the one that is blank.

Once you know what is blank, Go back to PowerApps and go to that specific DataCard and try to figure out why it is passed as blank.

I've spent the entire day chasing this down and it seems to be starting from a different flow which is not working right, the flow "update sales order from quote" is showing failures with:

//The 'inputs.parameters' of workflow operation 'Update_a_row' of type 'OpenApiConnection' is not valid. Error details: The resolved string values for the following parameters are invalid, they may not be null or empty: 'recordId'//
1) I cannot add the flow within the canvas app, it just doesn't show up when I search for it.
2) I have tried updating the connections within the flow to no success.
3) I have even migrated it to current connectors. But when I try to add the new flow, it's like in #1, where it doesn't show up within flows for the canvas app editor.

Hello @zerou

The reason why it's not showing is because that flow is designed to be triggered when an item has been modified in your database. In a flow, there is two part a TRIGGER and the ACTIONS.

I do understand your situation and your frustration but I would highly suggest that you work with a dedicated consultant (close to your area) for this matter as I see that there is a more complex setup in the backend. Any further changes without a holistic view of the app components (Flow, Dataverse) might completely break the whole solution (I know it's broken now, but it could go worse)

You may repost your case in this forum, as someone might still want to have a look at your case but, please consider my above recommendation. I sincerely apologise for stopping here.
