My flows disappeared from Power Automate – what happened?

About a year and a half ago, I created several flows in Power Automate that were working well. I was still using them as recently as a month ago. However, when I logged in to Power Automate now, all of my flows are gone.

What could have happened? Is there any way to recover them? It’s very important, as I had about a month’s worth of work in those flows.

Can anyone help me, please?

Thank you!

Its really important that you backup your flows by exporting them as solutions ever so often, as I have seen many folks mention they have lost their flows randomly.

    Check here on your desktop
    C:\users\yourfolder\AppData\Microsoft Power Automate Desktop\Console\WorkSpace

And I assume by Gone, you mean when you look in the Cloud, under Desktop Flows they are missing also??

If these suggestions help resolve your issue, Please consider Marking the answer as such and also maybe a like.
    Thank you!

    Hi,

Method 1: Check for Soft-Deleted Flows

    1. Go to the Microsoft Power Automate admin center

    2. Use the Power Automate Management connector to restore deleted flows

    3. Look for flows with "soft-deleted" status

    4.

    Method 2: PowerShell Recovery
Use PowerShell to restore the deleted flows Restore your deleted Power Automate Flows – Quick Tip - this requires admin permissions or working with your IT team.

    Check Different Environments

    1. In Power Automate, click the environment selector (top-right)

    2. Switch between different environments (Default, Personal, etc.)

    3. Your flows might be in a different environment than expected

    4.

    Version History Recovery

If the flows still exist but were modified, you can use Power Automate Flow Version History to restore previous versions.

    Contact IT Administration

    1. Check with your IT administrator about:

      • Recent license changes

      • Environment cleanups or migrations

      • Compliance actions that might have affected flows
    2. They may have backups or be able to restore from their management tools

    Prevention for the Future

    1. Export flows regularly as backup files

    2. Use Solutions to package and version your flows

    3. Document your flows with screenshots and descriptions

    4. Share ownership with colleagues when possible

    5. Check environment settings and ensure proper licensing
