Hello!
I have been able to create successful manual flows by clicking a button powerbi > Excel, but I have not figured out how to automate that process so I can do it weekly or monthly.

Have you tried to use the Recurrence trigger?
@ScottShearer Thanks for the quick reply, the image is what I currently use. What I would love to be able to do is automate the export from PowerBi weekly. I have not found a way to add a recurrence to this flow, or create a flow that references the powerbi flow to add rows to the excel
I don't see a straight forward way to meet your requirement - very interesting question.
There may be a back door method using Office scripts (in Excel) which can be called from a Flow.
