Hi there,

After populating a word document it seems people are having trouble editing the text without deleting the whole text control.

The only solution I've found is that you'd need to hit Design Mode, under the developer tab.

The problem I'm facing here, is that the user's who'd need to edit the text, will definitely have trouble finding the Design Mode button.

Does anyone have another method to making text control's editable that has a friendly user experience?

@Jojojojojo If your user opens the doc in open in desktop app they can edit the doc without hitting design mode.

We've been using the desktop Word app the whole time.

What's happening is... let's say we want to change the text that was automated below, from "Regional Operations Manager" just to "Regional Manager"...

You can't edit out "Operations" without deleting the whole text (unless going design mode)

    Figured out what was wrong!

When creating plain text controls I missed a step. I was pressing plain text control without highlighting some text first.

I should have written some text first, highlighted it, then clicked plain text controls.

After doing this, and connecting it to Power Automate things worked all good and now my text is editable after populating.
