Automated Cloud Flow for Capturing Changes in an Excel File

Hi All,

Will it be possible to build an automated cloud flow in Power Automate that does the following:

  • Excel file is in Sharepoint
  • Any changes (add row of data, edit, delete) in the contents of the Excel file will be captured and an email will be automatically sent showing the changes (will be in a table format - HTML coding) with the column name and new value
  • Several users can simultaneously modify the file. I saw an option to insert the delay until function. So the plan to is let the flow allow the users to do their changes and just send the email notification with the summary of the changes at the end of the day so that recipients wont be bombarded with lots of emails for every change.

Still new to Power Automate. Your inputs will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did you get any response to this? I have the same requirement. We had a Dropbox solution with a macro that looks for a OnSheetChange() event in a column and sends out an email with a dynamic body.

But with the recent migration to SharePoint this no longer works and needs to be put online. And with the help of Power Automate this should be possible on paper but I have not been able to make this work
