Modification to Power Automate Form Workflow

Currently, I have a Microsoft Power Automate flow connected to a form, where submissions are automatically sent to two supervisors for approval, and both supervisors can either accept or reject the form. Once the form is
approved or rejected, it is automatically added to an Excel spreadsheet.

I'd like to request a modification to this workflow. Instead of automatically sending the form to both supervisors, I want to give the person submitting the form the option to select which supervisor to send it to. Once they make
their selection, the form should only be sent to the chosen supervisor for approval, and the result (approved or rejected) would still be added to the Excel spreadsheet.

Could you please let me know if this change is possible? and if so, how?

From where you are fetching the approvers? Is it from the form and then passing it to flow or getting from the flow directly? If it is coming from PowerApps once they select the approvers then you can pass only one approver in that case.

    Hi!

If it is okay for you that the user justs selects the person from a section directly in the MS form, then the change is rather easy.
It should be noted, however, that this would be rather static- so the two supervisors would be manually defined in the form.
if this is a one-off solution and you don't need to dynamically fetch supervisors, I'd go with this, so you don't have to use too much time developing.

The most simple way of doing this, would be to add a field in the form where the end user chooses the supervisors email.
The email input is then parsed directly to the assigned to part of the approval:

An important point is, that you will have to use the email adress directly in the MS Form, to do it this simple.
If you were to use a full name instead, you COULD use the Get Users O365 connector to fetch the email, but then you would need to make sure that the unique user is found correctly. This could be done by adding the name AND email in the form, and then splitting the received string in Power Automate.

    Hope this helps :)
