open browser Microsoft Edge in incognito mode

Hello

Does anyone know how to open Microsoft Edge browser in incognito mode?

I was thinking of opening the browser manually in incognito mode and then adding a new instance in execution in Microsoft Edge element, but this is not working, isn't it?

I want to do this because I'm doing web scrapping with Microsoft Edge and after some requests, I got the error "ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS", maybe anyone could help me with another solution.

Thanks!

I have the same question (0)

    But this presents other problems.....

What are you trying to scrape (website) and please share a bit of code to let us see what you are doing.

    Hi @aontanon

Find out the exe path of Edge on your machine. Generally it would be at the below shown location.

And add a -inprivate switch as parameters

After running the flow Edge in Incognito will launch.

Problem is "attaching" to a browser in "Incognito mode".

    Hello @Highboy and @VJR

I have been testing both solutions, we can open the browser in incognito mode as you comment, but as @Highboy comments, we can not "attach"/add the new instance to the browser, so we can not continue.

I guess these are bugs from PAD. I'm finding a lot of bugs, I think PAD is not finished, is still in development, but for all developers, this is not good, because we are trying to use a tool that has a lot of bugs.

I'm doing web scrapping on a real state website, I have some parameters in an excel file (price, bedrooms, housing type, etc) and then I extract all the advertisements that match these parameters from the website. Then, I'm banned because I'm doing a lot of requests very quickly and this website detects this behavior.

    Best regards,

    Antonio

The latest version of PAD 2.14 is REALLY bad with lots of bugs.😒
I don't know how much data you are scraping, but you could try to slow the process down, and see if they will detect your "bot" 😊

What if you sent CMD commands every so often to release and renew the ipconfig?

Or you could have a piece in there that changes the regional setting on a vpn (therefore changing the IP) every so often.

    Hi @aontanon

I agree with you about PAD not yet being a fully baked product.

But here is how I was able to attach to an InPrivate Edge window.

    - Added website name to the arguments that I shared with you earlier.

    - Attach to the instance that we just launched.

Instead of "By URL", in your case you can also check "By window title"

On running this flow it opens up an InPrivate window -> populates the search text as seen below

I added an UI element for the search text box.

In the Extensions, make sure to enable the Power Automate extension to be enabled in InPrivate mode too.
