Portal Management App and deactivating form metadata records

Interestingly when you deactivate any child metadata records via the Portal Management App, the record completely disappears and there is no way to reactivate the record from the Portal Management App. Instead we have to find the table storing such records in dataverse and reactivate the record from the dataverse form.

Its because you are using the Tab that has a Subgrid which has only 1 view set for it.  Go via the Related->Basic Form Metadata, this will give you views for both active and inactive (or you could update the subgrid to add in additional views and Publish).
