Everytime someone create a new list item an email is automaticaly sent. My issue is that the email nomatter who creates a new list item always gets sent from my account.

How do i change that. I want the email to come from the person who is creating a new list item.

Please help.

Thank you.

    Hi @Anonymous,

When you manage the run only access for your flow, you can configure whether or not the connection should come from the flow owner or the person who is launching the flow.

Please check more details about manage run only users at here:

    https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/advanced-button-sharing/

Hope it could be a reference for you.

    Best regards,

    Mabel Mao

    Hello ,

So  i keep getting this error,

    "status"403,
"message""You are not authorized to send mail on behalf of the specified sending account

Is there a way arround this. I wan the user who creates an item to send an email.

@Anonymous- The "From" email address that Flow emails use is tied to the connection used with the "Send an Email" action.

There is no way to dynamically change the email connection in a Flow.

If you want the email to come from someone else, you might consider creating an Office 365 account specifically from this and other related purposes.  Add a connection for that user and use it with the Send Email action.

This seems like a step backwards for MS flow. the user creating the item should be the user that the email comes from and not the person who created the flow . I understand the From(Send as) permissions but why not have a From Created by email.

I dont have access to creat a generic account. so i guess the best option is to use sharepoint desgner.

    Unless you have another solution.

@Anonymous- I agree.  The functionality you have described would be a great enhamcement.  You may want to suggest that concept here.  If it has already been suggested (and I believe that it has), vote for it.

    Hi,

I am having trouble with a link to the sharepoint item being sent to the user who created the sharepoint item. At the moment, I have a flow that sends a link to the sharepoint item when someone creates a new one but all the emails go to myself and not the creator of the sharepoint item. Any help?

    @SSpence:

Take a look at your Flow and see who the email is addressed to - I sounds as though it should be addressed to "Created By Email" from Dynamic Properties.

If you are still having issues, please post a screen shot of your Flow.

If this resolves your issue, please mark your post as Solved.

Thanks Scott. Issue I had was the wrong field in the email template. This was setup with "Mail" rather than Created By Email.

One final query. We use Sharepoint to complete audit reports and attach photos into these. Is there a way of the "FLOW" picking up the photos taken within the report and sending these through on the email as well as the link to the sharepoint item?

This helped me with my Send Email (V2), as it's slightly different to the original Send Email.
