Updating Calendar Events By Outlook Task / To-Do

Hi,

I am trying to build a flow that is triggered "When an upcoming event is starting soon" in O365 Calendar. After the event is detected, the flow retrieves "Get task folders in group" or "List all tasks" (ideally based on the corresponding category, ie, Administrative Events pull the Administrative Task List). My flow is successful, but I do not see the output printed anywhere. I would like for the pending tasks to be added to the body of the event.

    Hi @erajakhtar ,

Could you please share a screenshot of the configuration of your flow?

Could you please explain more details about your issue?

    Best regards,

    Alice

What I am effectively trying to accomplish is a 'time-blocked calendar' with X amount of time dedicated to a functional category, i.e., Administration, Operations, Marketing, Development, etc. Those time-blocks are entered into the calendar as events, but I want the notes/body of the event to auto-populate the corresponding task list from To-Do/Task. This way I can have a master template on my calendar for weekly activities during office hours and all I have to do is update my To-Do/Task list with pending items. Ideally, I can just tell Cortana, "Hey Cortana, add send follow-up email to Ross on Administration tasks."

I hope this clarifies the process. My first time using Power Automate, so my flow is obviously lacking. Thanks for your help!

    Hello @erajakhtar ,

You might have already found a resolution, but do you think this flow might help you?

So thank you for that solution, but it creates a task. What I am looking to do is update an event with information pulled from a task group/folder.

For example, I have a time-block set every morning at 9:30am for 'Administration'. My flow will go check my task group/folder titled or categorized as 'Administration', retrieve all pending tasks filed under the same name, and then output the results in the body or notes of my upcoming event. I have included an updated snippet.
