Power BI Flow to post message in Teams

Hello All,

General statement: I am trying to setup a flow to use a power bi alert to trigger a message to be posted on Teams.

Background/Goal: I have a weekly report that I have created in Power BI; it is refreshed daily but I need the report to post in my Team Channel every Monday morning.

Where I am at: I have created a Dashboard and I have created an Alert Trigger. I am at the part in the process in which I set the condition for the trigger; however, I do not know how to express the requirement for the TEAMs post to occur every Monday at a specific time.

Hi @jrodriguez2,

It seems that you are trying to use the Power BI trigger When a data driven alert is triggered. The report will be refreshed daily, while you just want to post the report in Microsoft Teams every Monday morning at a specific time.

Please try to add a Condition in the flow to check if the day is Monday, using the following code in the Condition:

@equals(dayOfWeek(utcNow()), 1)

Then under the If yes branch, add an action Delay until. Say you want to post the message in the morning at 8:00, you could use the code to return the specific timestamp:

concat(utcNow('yyyy-MM-dd'),'T08:00Z')

Then post message to Teams with the contents you want.
