Power Apps Desktop - Embedded Power BI Sign In Broken

Hi All,

I am currently working on an application that uses several Power BI tiles within it, and some reports require the user to sign in while others don't. I did not build the reports, but from what I understand this is likely due to the embedded report link either being secure or public.

In the browser version of the application, when prompted to sign in there is no issue. However, using the desktop powerapps application prompts the user to sign in:

After clicking the "sign in" icon, the user is then prompted to download an app to open the link, regardless of whether or not Power BI is installed (I have it installed on my personal computer).

Ignoring the prompt and once again clicking "Sign in", the browser is opened where I am prompted to sign in with the associated Microsoft account. After signing in, I am taken to a blank screen:

Alternatively, selecting "Open in new tab" brings the user to a sign in prompt in the browser. After signing in, I am perpetually brought back to the sign in page and asked to sign in again.

We cannot make these BI tiles public, so any solution to this issue would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, if there is any other way that the tile could not prompt the user to sign in while still remaining secure built into the power platform, please let me know. The only other method I have read about involves generating an access token for the user and then embedding the report within an HTML container: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/55651546/how-to-remove-the-signin-page-from-the-report-when-power-bi-report-is-embedded-i

Thank you in advance!

    Hi,

It looks like you were facing this problem only for Power BI Desktop and not from service.

Have you tried installing Power BI Desktop from Microsoft Store, if you were using a .exe file of Power BI Desktop, do you have latest version. Make sure you were signedin to the Power BI Desktop with your credentials like below..
