PowerApps ID

Hi all,

Is there a way to access the _PowerAppsID_ generated from excel in PowerApps itself?

I'm looking to use it dynamically in flow rather than hardcode it into flow or have to copy and paste it into PowerApps directly from excel.

Alternatively, is there a way to set a new ID that can be used as the RowID in flow for updateing rows etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi @E-Mac,

No, currently the auto-generated _PowerAppsId_  column from Excel can't be referenced under PowerApps.

But it could be referenced within Microsoft Flow, which is marked as the Row id:

And yes, we could add another column to identify the row within Excel (Like the BLOBID I added), but note that the self-defined Id column can't be Named with "ID","Id" or "Row Id" format, because doing in that way would make the service to “bind” the Id column together with the Row Id.

If you would like to have PowerApps to be able to get the _PowerAppsId_ field from Excel, then please consider submit this as an idea under PowerApps idea forum:

    Hi @v-micsh-msft

Thanks for the reply. I tried to use a self-defined ID but I seem to be coming across an error. I am using a 'PowerApps' to 'Update Row' flow. I have added a few screen grabs below that may help with identifying the issue. It does not seem to recognise the custom ID entered through powerapps.
