Send email with multiple list items to specific recipients

Hi,

I’m trying to create an automatic flow that copies list items from a temporary list to production list when my flow is triggered. When all items are copied all items in the temporary list will be deleted (not in the flow for now)

I want to send 1 single email (to 1 or multiple recipients) based on users email address from a “Person or Group” column (people only) called “REPORTED BY”. The email shall contain dynamic info from 3 columns (ID number, assessment name and a link to the specific list item) and some additional info in plain text.

In my tests I have created 4 list items and assigned them to 2 users (2 items each). When the flow is triggered 2 emails are sent to both users (both as recipients) with all 4 list items in the email body.

Is there anybody that could help me solve this?

    Hi @stefan_gorosch

The "Send an email" action should be added or called outside of "Apply to each" action but not inside "Apply to each" block. I could not figure it out from the shared screenshots.

If this helps & solves your problem, please remember to give a 👍 and accept my solution as it will help others in the future.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thanks for your reply!I'm not really sure if I understand what you mean. I have 2 Apply for each. Is your suggestion that I move send email in/out from one of them or should I delete one?

    Hi @stefan_gorosch

There is no need for "Apply to each 1" action, you could drag out "Send an email" action & place it below "Apply to each" action. Its "Apply to each 1" action that triggers multiple emails based on the recipients stored in the 'UserSpecificDetails' variable.

If this helps & solves your problem, please remember to give a 👍 and accept my solution as it will help others in the future.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for trying to solve this. Unfortunately the email are still sent twice to both users (both as recipients) with all 4 list items in the email body.
