Dear all, I am looking for a way to add a Unique ID for each row that is automatically added to an excel file using Flow.
I am a novice to building Flows so I hope there is a simple solution
Thank you!
Hello @grigkate ,
you don't need Power Automate for that, you can use formula in the Excel table to assign an ID based on the row number.
=ROW()-ROW([#Headers])

Thank you @tom_riha! It works perfectly!
I came here to find solution for adding ID column to Excel using Power Automate, I don't understand how Excel formula can be accepted answer when it does not address the issue at all??
The issue I was trying to solve was to append entries to an excel file using an automated report that is running every week and is collecting new entries for the span of the week. By using this formula in the first column of the excel file, all appending entries are added below the existing entries and are not overwriting the existing data.
