Convert HTML to PDF not working

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with the One Drive convert file action in Power Automate. My flow is supposed to convert an HTML code into a PDF. However, the flow worked without any issues until last week. Since then the layout of the PDF is completely nuts. In my case the header is not showing at all, no matter what I change. Checkboxes are not displayed at all. Images are either not showing up or are showing up at the wrong place in the PDF. According to what I found on Google others have similar issues.

Anyone else experiences the same issue?

Thank you!

I’m experiencing the same behavior across multiple flows…

As I can see, it's like a problem with the @page style, which isn’t taking effect…

Does anyone know if there’s a Microsoft ticket related to this bug, or any way to bring this problem to their attention?

    Thanks!

Thank you for your ideas and suggestions, guys!

@Tomek: I will try this and let you know if it worked. Thank you!

@Pstork1: 1) Yes, the PDF is attached to an email in the end.
                     2) No, it looks as the one attached to the email.
                     3) Yes, I am using the legacy designer since I am aware that there are issues with the new designer.

@AlexEncodian: Thank you for the advice. I will check that.

Edit 02 August: I still have the saved HTML documents in my OneDrive. So I just opened them and they look perfect! The layout is as it is supposed to be. If I try to save them as PDF from my web browser, the document is as it is supposed to be. Thus, I suppose that the problem is the connector in Power Automate. However, this way is not an option since it is inconvenient for the user. Also, the suggested Encodian connector is not an option.

    A couple things
    1) Are you adding the attachment to the email?
    2) Does the attachment you add to the SharePoint item look correct?
    3) Are you using the new designer or the legacy designer? The screenshot is from the legacy designer, but there are issues with attachments in the new designer so I wanted to check.

I’m having the same issue as well and it’s a big problem because I cannot create any template documents since I was utilizing the html to pdf connector to make them

    Hi,

    I had similar issue.
Most probably some changes in HTML to PDF within PA.
In my case the resulting PDF was "stretched", meaning the right part of the document was only partially visible.
For me it was enough to change HTML template file - main table width reduced to 80% -  now everything fits within generated pdf page.

So my advise is to play with HTML template and generate test documents until the output is according to your needs.

    Kind regards
    Tomek

I am creating a full document. Please see the screenshot below:
Before these steps I only initialize and set variables.

ARe you defining just an HTML table or a full HTML document? Could you provide a screenshot of your flow? We need more information to help resolve your issue.
